Tom Chobanian
About Tom Chobanian
Tom Chobanian, LCSW is a NJ Licensed psychotherapist who received his masters
degree from Columbia University in 1993, and completed a post graduate training
program at the William Alanson White Institute for Psychiatry and Psychoanalysis
in NYC. He is a former director of adult and family therapy at New Bridge Services
and coordinator of outpatient services at Clifton Behavioral Healthcare.
Tom has served as a consultant to corporations, schools and government agencies
for many years regarding mental health and substance abuse issues. He has provided
employee assistance services and post trauma stress debriefing in the aftermath
of tragedies. He received specialized training at the National Organization
for Victims Assistance in Washington, D.C. and is a Nationally Board Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist.
As a field instructor for Rutgers University, and certified NASW supervisor,
he has been training therapists in cutting edge therapy techniques for several
years. He maintains a full-time private practice in Ridgewood.
